Sprucing up the neighborhood

Today was Photo Day for the Yankees, but the most impressive picture was actually a work of art. Mike Mussina's locker is in a drab corner of the clubhouse, leaning up against a gray concrete wall. Mussina suggested that he would hang a poster from art.com on the wall to try and spice things up.

Lou Cucuzza, the Yankees' clubhouse manager, took it a step further. The photo - a landscape of a lake with a boat - is now surrounded by a wooden window, complete with a shelf and Yankee blue drapes purchased from K-Mart.

Mussina's little corner of the earth is certainly more inviting today. He joked that he'd buy more pictures and put them up. Hopefully he continues to add to the arrangement... by the end of the spring, Moose could have a nice little screened-in porch and a rocking chair to sip iced tea.

Let's hope Mussina spices things up on the mound. Instead of being an interior decorator, he should focus more on pitching.
