NYY Steak open for business
This from the Yankees:
NYY Steak, the newly created restaurant based on the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino's Council Oak Steak and Seafood Restaurant, will open to the public today for the first time ... fans can call 646-97-STEAK for hours and reservations (recommended).
The people at the Hard Rock invited some of the Yankees' media to the Council Oak restaurant last week and showcased some of what you'll see at the NYY Steak experience. I'm a big surf & turf guy and have to report this -- if you're planning on spending a few dollars on a upscale meal, you're going to love a lot of what you see at NYY Steak.
The prices should be about on par with what you'd pay in midtown Manhattan, but I'd have to imagine treating yourself after - or during? - a Yankees game might be a much more memorable experience than heading to, say, Ruth's Chris or Fleming's Prime.
Not that I have anything against either of those places -- they've certainly had their share of my Spring Training dining bill this spring as well. But I mean, you'll be dining in Yankee Stadium. Certainly should be a little better than a hot dog and popcorn.

Interesting. Must be nice to get some free food from them. Was Tyler Kepner there?
