A few winter ball updates

RHP Scott Patterson (added to the Yankees' 40-man roster last week) has allowed only two earned runs in 17 2/3 innings, over 15 appearances with the Cardenales de Lara of the Venezuelan Winter League. (1-1, 1.02 ERA, 2 BB, 14 K, .213 opp. avg.)

SS Alberto Gonzalez is hitting .362 (17-for-47), hitting safely in nine of 12 games with the Bravos de Margarita of the Venezuelan Winter League.

INF Wilson Betemit has hit in seven of 10 games with Leones del Escogido of the Dominican Winter League, hitting .357 (10-for-28) with two homers and seven RBIs.

RHP Jose Veras has not allowed a run in four relief appearances with Leones del Escogido (3 2/3 IP, 2 BB, 6 K).

OF Austin Jackson completed the Hawaiian Baseball League campaign tied for the league lead with five triples and 25 runs scored. He reached base safely in 33 of 39 games, including a league-high 24 consecutive games from Oct. 6 - Nov. 9.

Also, Major League Baseball announced this year's postseason shares. The Yankees' share was $1,573,781.74, and a full share (of which the Yankees awarded 47) was worth $26,304.22. 11.83 partial shares and one cash award were also given.
