Grab a glove and get out there
A little bit of a strange pre-game, as for the second time this season, the Yankees are considering shuffling a player out of position to handle duties at first base.
This time, it's Jorge Posada, who has appeared in 17 previous games at first and could see No. 18 on Tuesday at Colorado. Posada has been working out at first base and might keep his bat in the lineup behind Mike Mussina that way, under NL rules.
In other news, Johnny Damon is back in the lineup though he said the day of rest did little to calm what the team called a mild abdominal strain. It isn't going to get much better if Damon keeps swinging, but he said he's been embarrassed by having to answer for so many injuries.
Yankees trail, 3-2, as we head to the bottom of the third. Tyler Clippard just balked in Jose Reyes, but it wasn't exactly shades of the old Steve Bieser and David Cone game.
