How the Yankees can clinch tonight (9/30)

If at first (and second) you don’t succeed…

In order to clinch a postseason berth tonight, the Yankees need a win and two of the following three events to occur:

– A Minnesota loss (doubleheader at Cleveland, 4:10 p.m. ET),

 – A Houston loss (at Seattle, 10:10 p.m. ET),

– Either a Texas loss (vs. Detroit, 8:05 p.m. ET) OR Los Angeles-AL loss (vs. Oakland, 7:05 p.m. ET).

Regardless of what any other teams do the rest of the season, if the Yankees win two more games, they are guaranteed at least a Wild Card spot.

Glad to see the Angels overtook the Astros. Hope they can hold on!

As a Yankee fan I hope they don’t make the playoffs. Why you ask? two reasons, first so they don’t embarrass themselves, second they just are not good enough to compete with the Royals, Blue Jays, etc. They can’t hit, A Rod exceeded expectations, before the All Star game, and hasn’t hit a lick since,, nobody else seems to be much better. ‘this hurts me to say , but I thinkThe Red Sox today are a better team than the Yankees, except for maybe relief pitching. Every ten games or so the Yankees score 10 runs or so, then they go back into a funk again. I’m waiting till next year.
