great, now we hear Ellsbury has a sore hip. Man this is an aging broken down team. We’ve had more than our share of injuries but we took on players with a history of injuries in the past few years so what can you expect? Game rained out. Don’t know if that was good or bad. We feel behind another half game but it might have been a full game if we had played with Nuno on the mound. Don’t know if there is a make up or not. Probably some time in the future. This team is not firing on all cylinders, in fact only on a couple. I guess we all felt it was a 500 team but the way they started we thought well maybe they’re going to be alright. They’ve settled down to probably where they deserve to be but it won’t get them into the playoffs and certainly won’t win a world series.

we got damaged goods with Beltran. Doesn’t a team put a guy through a rigorous physical before they sign him? We’re going to pay Beltran’s salary this year to sit on the DL most of the year. He’s wasn’t playing long with the Yankees and an elbow bone spur just doesn’t develop in 10 games? Of course we didn’t pick up Morales. Too cheap to spend the money and there’s not much pop in our lineup right now. We can’t even win a series against teams under 500. Sad sack team right now. Is it only the fans that are upset with this group? Don’t hear much frustration or attitude from the coaches and management. Everyone trying to paint a rosy picture and making excuses for each other. I guess the only answer is to stay away from the ball park but then you still have the big dollars coming in from the media. I can’t believe the silence from the suits and from Cashman. Are they hiding in a bunker somewhere?

what the hell is going on with this team? They can’t move the runners on base. Gardner gets a great triple and runs his heart out and they leave him stranded. This killed the Yankees last year and it’s killing them this year. Too many guys left on base. no clutch hits. Very few extra base hits. A powerless team. The Jays are overloaded with power and the Yankees have little. The scores now with the Yankees are like NL team scores. They can’t score more than 4 runs. They can’t run up the score any more. The Yankee teams of the past used to often run up 15+ runs in many games. We keep waiting for this team to get their act together but at this point in the season they’ve had plenty chance and it hasn’t happened. This team will need another major overhaul but with guys signed to 3 and 4 year contracts how do they do that?

is Yankee management trying to drive the fans nuts? They give up on Morales. And we have to keep watching Johnson play first base and strike out at the plate. Two strike outs so far and one with the bases loaded. He looks so much like Stewart it isn’t funny. Another useless at bat. It’s like playing in a NL ball park with the pitcher hitting. But with Johnson you have two pitchers hitting back to back. What a huge hole in the lineup. What is the plan for first base for the rest of the year? We can’t continue to go with Tex and Johnson as a tandem and Tex is probably going to be sitting out more games than he’s playing. First of all I’d get rid of the pitching coach. He’s been there too LONG and he’s certainly not having much of a positive effect on this team. The whole organization needs an overhaul. We’ve gone too long with the same guys. Cashman has had more than a fair chance to put together a winning team and hasn’t done it. You don’t judge success by how much payroll you have obviously, or how many all star has beens you’ve been able to sign. Teams with half the pay roll are way ahead of the Yankees. Take the Athletics for example and the Blue Jays, the two top teams in the American League right now. And this Yankees team is not only losing but losing badly. They are a boring team. Where’s the energy? the excitement? the explosiveness? the come from behind wins? the sweeps? The Jays are a much more exciting team to watch right now than the Yankees.

this is why the Yankees are around 500. Bases loaded with no outs and they can’t get 1 run in and Jeter strikes out to end the inning. Offense stinks. They can’t hit with power and they can’t manufacture runs so how many games do you think they can win this season? Maybe75 if they’re lucky?
