Yankees roster moves for June 3

Prior to tonight’s game, the Yankees made the following roster moves:

· Recalled INF Scott Sizemore from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
· Optioned OF Zoilo Almonte to Scranton/WB.
· Claimed LHP Wade LeBlanc off waivers from Los Angeles-AL.
· Transferred RHP Michael Pineda to the 60-day disabled list.

LeBlanc, 29, made one relief appearance with the Angels this season on 5/30 at Oakland, allowing 4ER in 6.1IP (6H, 2BB, 4K, 2HR) without recording a decision. In nine starts with Triple-A Salt Lake, he was 5-1 with a 3.69 ERA (53.2IP, 22ER), striking out 43 batters with just 14BB.

In 97 career appearances (68 starts) over parts of seven Major League seasons with San Diego (2008-11), Miami (2012-13), Houston (2013) and Los Angeles-AL (2014), he has gone 20-32 with a 4.53 ERA (423.1IP, 213ER) and 285K.

small tweaks Jersey Joe. Don’t know what Sizemore will do. Hopefully better than Johnson. Problem is to get a big name the Yankees are going to have to spend a lot more money or give up Betances or Sanchez who we need for the future. Another loss last night in late innings. Great pitching performance by Kuroda and wasted because no run support again. Do we need a new hitting coach? Is Long to blame for the lack of hitting? Soriano has been abysmal this year. He swings at every pitch no matter where it is, on the ground, 5 feet off the plate, across his eyes. No discipline at all. I think we’re looking at keeping a core together for next year and building in some good young prospects, trade for one or two veterans and let the rest who we’re saddled with because of long contracts go or sit on the bench. Already we’re talking 2015 at the earliest. Write this year off.

Yanks are deep at C in their minor league system, Sanchez is more likely to be traded since he is a top prospect in the Yankee system, however he is struggling for a second year in a row and he is a defensive liability behind the plate. He might be another overrated Yankee prospect who will crash and burn.

I don’t see this team really improving at all as long as Crashman stays GM for this team. He has done a miserable job for this team, this year no exception. No real power threats in this lineup except for Tex, and MCCann, lineup doesn’t scare anyone, and will continue to struggle to score runs.

If this team really wants to win this year, it will have to focus on the offense before the pitching.

Rob we miss you. See they are already making moves. Their not content. Bigger moves will happen in time.

Good thing Size is back, Solarte can play first, Johnson can play the waiver wire.

As usual bpuke you make no sense, Solarte has never played 1B at the major league level, they will not experiment with him at 1B at this point. Stop letting people use your head as a piñata.

So another loser joins the pitching staff. How can we send Cashman to Scranton for the rest of the season. Best thing about Le Blanc is that he is under thirty. Probably means he’s too” young” to pitch in the Bronx.

Why don’t you go over to red sawx network and cry over there. You would rather write pretty much the same thing over and over and over right here.
