Spring Game 32: Yankees vs. Marlins

It’s the last day of camp, which always feels a little bit like the last day of school for me… of course, now we’ve got 162 more to go, so it really shouldn’t. But it’ll be exciting to start seeing some games that count in the standings.

The Yankees reported to George M. Steinbrenner Field this morning dressed for the charter flight to Houston — at least, those whom have been told that they have seats on the plane. There is still no decision on the 25th man, with Eduardo Nunez and Yangervis Solarte caught in limbo. It’s very possible that the Yankees are working on a last-minute transaction to wrap things up.

While we wait, Ivan Nova has the ball for his sixth start of the spring. Nova is tuning up for the third start of the season on April 3 in Houston. After today’s game, the Yankees will fly to Houston and will take the day off Sunday before holding a scheduled workout on Monday at Minute Maid Park.

We’ve got some weather concerns in the Tampa area that could impact today’s game. The YES Network and WFAN are both broadcasting today’s action. Here is the last lineup of the spring:
