Spring Game 10: Yankees at Phillies

clearwaterI really didn’t think there was a chance of this, but it looks like we might have baseball after all here at Bright House Field in Clearwater, Fla. They have announced an estimated 2:30 p.m. ET start time, and the tarp was pulled at 1:41 p.m., to a loud cheer from the handful of people waiting things out at the Frenchy’s tiki bar in left field.

There have been tornado warnings in the area and a bunch of cancellations around the Grapefruit League today. It still looks ugly here, but we’ll see. Now you know why I flunked out of meteorological school.

Here are the lineups you’ll be seeing, if we can get underway. The Phillies have a TV broadcast that is being picked up by MLB Network.

Update 1:58 p.m. Carlos Beltran has been scratched from the Yankees’ lineup. The team has not given a reason yet, but you would figure Joe Girardi isn’t thrilled about the idea of Beltran splashing around right field on a pair of surgically repaired knees. Ramon Flores will take over in right; updated lineup is below.
