Yankees, Rangers open three-game series tonight

Here is a selection of the official game information for tonight’s contest between the Yankees and Rangers:

AT A GLANCE: The Yankees will play the first game of a three-game series vs. the Texas Rangers tonight… is their third opponent of a nine-game, 10-day homestand that began with a split in Wednesday’s day-night doubleheader vs. the Dodgers and a four-game series split with Tampa Bay… following this series, embark on a seven-game road trip to Baltimore (three games) and Minnesota (four games).
Ø Have gone 40-30 (.571) since 4/7 after starting the season 1-4, the third-best mark in the AL over the stretch behind Texas (41-30, .577) and Boston (42-31, .575).

friggin Adams. Is he the best we’ve got for 3rd base? Offensively he’s doing nothing right now. 3 strike outs already tonight. Why don’t they use Lillibridge and give him a try at SS and move Nix to 3rd or use Lillibridge at 3rd. I don’t know what positions he can play. But anything is better than Adams right now. When he first came up we thought he might be the read deal until Arod comes back but his hitting has dropped off drastically.
