Spring Game 20: Yankees vs. Marlins

CC Sabathia has the ball for his first start of the spring this afternoon as the Yankees welcome the Marlins to George M. Steinbrenner Field. The Yankees have moved cautiously with Sabathia, who is coming off surgery to remove a bone spur in his left elbow, but the ace has hit every checkpoint with no problems and is expected to be ready to make his fifth Opening Day start in pinstripes. Sabathia probably was ready to debut this past Sunday, but the Yankees didn’t want him to face the Blue Jays since they’re a division rival.
