guys i do agree with you about arod. but we really do need to take it easy on arod because just think about it guys its just one game and the series is not even over yet. so lets just give him sometime to come out of shell and gets some hits on the baseball like we all know that he can..

Agree about ARod. He’s a total disaster at the plate. He swings at everything and anything. Just misses on many pitches and fouls off. He can’t catch up with the fast ball and swings too late. He’s got all kinds of problems. And I hate his smug, overconfident, gum chewing look after a strike out. He should be hanging his head and slinking off to the bench. I would take Chavez at the plate over ARod and Chavez is not too shoddy at 3rd base either. But is management going to bench a 20 million dollar a year player no matter how badly he’s playing and with ARod’s notoriety? Think not. We just have to put up with him as a sure out every time and if he’s lucky enough to get a walkor hit by pitch or even get a single well it’s a bonus. Stupid Teixiera trying to stretch a long single to a double and he runs slow as a big guy. Bad decision there. It all worked out in the end fortunately. Martin came through and ignited the rally in the 9th which was good to see and off a tough closer. If we win 1 in Baltimore then it would be good. Winning 2 would put us in a great position going back home. Expect Andy to do well tonight. A real bonus for us to have 2 lefty starters in a row with a lot of success and experience. Kuroda and Hughes should work well. Maybe we’ll sweep in 3 and won’t need Hughes in the first round. Not likely, but not impossible.

The current yankee roster would indicate that AROD is the 7 hole hitter. Cano should be 3 (best hitter) and Granderson 4 (most home runs), but then with Ichiro hitting 2nd you have three lefties in a row. AROD, at this point in his career has a hard time hitting the high fastball and because of that he is susceptible to the off-speed pitch. When you consider he’s the highest paid player in the game, it is very frustrating for fans. When he opted out and realized no one was going to give him more money, the Yankees should have only offered him the remainder of the origianl contract, but they didn’t and he’s in NY for the duration. Thus the only hope is that he’ll find himself and quit whiffing in clutch situations (or play Chavez against righties).

New postseason, same Arod. Game on the line and the $25 million CHOKE strikes out. Nothing new for #13. Think the Cubs would accept the Yankees paying them to take him next year????
