Highlights from the Yankees media relations department:

AT A GLANCE: The Yankees will play the second game of a three-game series vs. the Boston Red Sox tonight at Fenway Park…  is their final opponent on their current 10-game, 11-day road trip…  are 3-5 thus far on the trip, dropping two-of-three in Tampa Bay, splitting a four-game series at Baltimore and losing the first game of this set… following this series, will have a nine-game homestand (matching their longest of the season), facing Tampa Bay (3G), Toronto (3G) and Oakland (3G)… are 17 games over .500, six shy of their season high.
===>>> Are in a stretch of 22 straight games vs. the AL East from 8/27-9/20 (5-9 thus far).
===>>> Have won three of their last six games… however, have dropped eight of their last 12 and 13 of their last 20 since 8/20.
===>>> The Yankees have been in first place (either tied or alone) every day since the start of play on 6/12.

CAPTAIN’S LOG: SS Derek Jeter leads the Majors with 192H, 16 more than any other player…  also leads the Majors with 58 multi-hit games (had 45 in 2011)…  is batting .469 (15-for-32) over his last seven games with multiple hits in five of the contests.
===>>> Is batting an AL-high .379 (72-for-190) off LHP this season, sixth-best in the Majors…   owns a .360 (114-for-317) road batting average, second in Majors behind Melky Cabrera (.367)…  is batting .394 (50-for-127) with 5HR leading off the game in the first.

LOOKING FOR TWO: The Yankees have played 25 games since 8/15 without winning consecutive contests (beginning with the final win of three straight victories vs. Texas)… marks their longest such stretch since a 31-game stretch from 8/20-9/22/1991 (went 9-22 over the stretch).

MY FAVORITE MARTIN: C Russell Martin has gone 10-for-24 (.417) with 6R, 2 doubles, 2HR and 8RBI over his last seven games since 9/3…had hit 2HR with 7RBI over his previous 28 combined games from 7/30-9/2…four of Martin’s last five run-producing hits have given the Yankees the lead.
