In case you missed it, Teixeira’s home run off Vicente Padilla was in absolutely no danger of clipping the foul pole, clearing the W.B. Mason sign in right-center field. Teixeira strutted a little and watched the flight of the ball before going into a trot, clearly relishing his game-tying blast.
The Yankees lost, 8-6, but Teixeira won the latest battle against his most-disliked ex-teammate Padilla. At least David Robertson seemed to have Teixeira’s back…
