This information from the Yankees’ media relations department:

AT A GLANCE: The Yankees will play the first game of a three-game series vs. the Boston Red Sox tonight… is the first series of a nine-game homestand that also features three-game sets vs. Baltimore and Seattle… beginning tonight, the Yankees play 16 of their next 23 games at Yankee Stadium from 7/27-8/19… just completed a seven-game road trip–their final West Coast trip of the year–going 2-5 at Oakland (0-4) and Seattle (2-1).

ð    At 59-39 (.602), are tied with the Washington Nationals for the best record in the Majors… are 20 games over .500, three shy of their season high-water mark.

ð    Are 28-14 since 6/8 and 38-18 since 5/22… are 11-3-1 over their last 15 series since 6/1.

ALMOST TO 100: The Yankees are looking for their 60th win of the season… with a victory in either of their next two games, will record 60 wins within the first 100 games of a season for the 47th time in franchise history–and the fourth straight year…have advanced to the playoffs in each of the last 10 years they have won at least 60 of their first 100 games in a season.

SEVEN UP: With Wednesday’s comeback win, the Yankees have now recorded seven wins this season when trailing after the end of the seventh inning – nearly double their total from last year when they were 4-49 in such games.

FIRST THINGS FIRST: The Yankees have scored in the first inning of 13 of their last 23 games (since 6/29), tallying 33 combined first-inning runs…  their 77R in the first inning are their most scored in any frame this year, and are tied with Colorado for the second-most first-inning runs by any team in the Majors behind St. Louis (78).

ð    Have scored in the first inning in five of six games vs. Boston this season.

HOME TURF: This season marks the latest into a calendar year the Yankees will play Boston for the first time at home during a non-strike-shortened season… in 1981 (a season cut short by a strike), the Yankees did not host the Red Sox at home for the first time until September.
