First-round pick Ty Hensley set to begin Yankees career
Ty Hensley, the Yankees’ first round pick in the June First-Year Player Draft, is set to begin his professional career.
According to Chase Parham, the right-hander signed for $1.2 million – a tick below the recommended slot bonus of $1.6 million – after a MRI showed an abnormality in his right shoulder. However, Hensley is said to be asymptomatic and is currently in the high 90’s with his fastball velocity.
