BUTTING HEADS: The Yankees and Nationals are each currently riding a six-game winning streak… according to the Elias Sports Bureau, the last time the Yankees played a game in which both they and their opponent entered with winning streaks of six or more games was 9/16/1968 at Detroit with the Yankees carrying a 10-game winning streak into the game against the Tigers who were on a six-game winning streak… the Tigers won, 9-1.

LOGAN’S RUN: LHP Boone Logan has tossed 10 consecutive scoreless outings since 5/22 (5.0IP)… has allowed just 1ER in 17 appearances on the road this season, having surrendered a solo HR in his first road outing on 4/8 at Tampa Bay, and holding his opponents scoreless in each of his last 16 outings since… hasn’t allowed a left-handed batter to reach base since 5/6 at Kansas City (Jarrod Dyson single), retiring his last nine.
