I think it’s too early to worry about Robertson, even Rivera blew some games. The bigger worry is finding another starter other than Pettitte. Phelps has proven he is not the answer, can’t even go 5 innings. no real answer in minors unfortunately.

Bit early to say anything about Robertson – not like he’s the first guy to blow a save as I’m sure Mo will be telling him as soon as he sees him.

Those Rays are pesky. They never seem to give up and play the Yankees tough. Tex takes too many strikes—–I think at this point he needs to be more aggressive. Robertson will be fine. Some of those Yankee starters need to learn to be their own closer. The problem that exists is the starting pitching———— not the pen!

robertson is no Mo. A good pitcher but as a closer he has too many pitches and gives up too many hits. This could become a real problem for the Yankees going forward. They might need to trade for a closer.

Tex’s kind of year so far at the plate. men on base in the 8th inning and a chance to add on a run or two and he grounds into a double play to end the inning. He’s got to get his bat going. Slow start doesn’t hack it as a professional and with all the money he’s being paid.

Too many pitches for Phelps. Bull pen bailed him out. Not much offence on either side tonight. If Yankees win it’s going to be a squeaker. Unusual for the Yankees to be winning and losing 1-0 games. They’ve always been a run scoring team, Only come in spurts this year so far.

We need all these games in this series to catch up to the Rays. Hopefully Phelps can get it done and the Yankee offence can continue to hit better, especially the big guys in the middle of the order. There can be no let up. Every game is crucial and the team really needs to focus every night. Let’s go.
