Yanks lefty Logan sent for MRI
TAMPA, Fla. – The Yankees’ preparations to announce their Opening Day roster hit a snag on Wednesday as left-hander Boone Logan was sent for an MRI with a back ailment.
Logan had been considered a lock to be on the staff as one of two left-handers in the bullpen, with veteran Clay Rapada also appearing to be set for a roster spot.
The hurler left George M. Steinbrenner Field before Wednesday’s game against the Mets for further tests. Logan had compiled a 3.24 ERA in 10 spring appearances, spanning 8 1/3 innings.
