The offence didn’t show up again. If it hadn’t been for Ibanez who has done very little this spring the Yankees would have had even fewer runs. And against the lowly Orioles? If you can’t beat the Orioles how are you going to fare against the Rays and the Bosox and the Jays. We’re ony a week away from the regular season. The big bats have to start hitting. It’s not the pitching that has made the Yankees lose so many games in the spring training, it’s their lack of hitting. And that was the problem last year in stretches. Sure they won the division but the hitting went south in the playoffs.
