Game 162 starter: Still TBA
Someone is going to be starting for the Yankees tomorrow evening at 7:10 p.m. ET, but Joe Girardi hasn’t announced who it will be.
All he did was rule out who it won’t be: CC Sabathia, A.J. Burnett, Bartolo Colon, Freddy Garcia. So place your bets from there on.
“We’re going to talk about it,” Girardi said. “That’s all we can do, and we’ll figure it out. I will have a starter by 7:10.”
Phil Hughes is slated to pitch some of Wednesday’s game as a reliever, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll start. It could be someone like Aaron Laffey – we’ll see.
