Yanks don’t have an upgrade over Logan in their system.

At the game today with my grandson. Man after the Jays went up 6-1 I figured the game was over. Colon was too hittable today. But the two big dingers from ARod and Grandy turned the tide. My grandson is a Jay’s fan so at least one of us went home happy. Lots of Yankee fans and accessories present at the game. A good win but Colon is going to have to get back his old form. Are a few of our starters starting to tire? I wonder late in the season. If we can get a comfortable lead in the division perhaps Girardi can start one or two of the young guys and give CC and Colon and Garcia time to rest for the playoffs. ARod looked in his first game back.

Doubtful the Yanks will convert Noesi into a major league starter next year. He’s been used in that role only once in his career on a full time basis and that was last year. Most likely they will have to send him back down again to convert him into a starter.

I guess it depends who we have competing for spots next year as far as Noesi goes, as I look at his minor league stats he shows 2009 (20 starts) and 2010 (27 starts), very impressive I might add, when he went down this year to scranton, he was used as a starter with 5 more starts. I tell ya though Girardi has fit him in real nice with the Yanks as he can go one inning, normally the 7th and through hard, or he can go 3-4 innings as we’ve seen and use more of his pitches. He is a back up for either colon, garcia or hughes when they leave games early, good long relief guy to have…I’ve been impressed with the kid…Time will tell what the yanks have in their plans for this 24 year old…next spring training, we may have a lot of question marks…I also would like to see Girardi give this guy Valdes, a hard throwing lefty who seems to warm up in the pen, but he never brings him in, a shot?? I don’t get it? Why is it always Logan?

No I believe its an upgrade Clueless Joe to just Moron…but we should cut him slack, he has us in first and looking good and his bullpen manipulations have been real good…showed a lot of faith in Noesi, which is real important for the kids confidence for next year and beyond…he may be a starter next year…you can’t just rely on all veterans…i see he got the 2 other kids in there…montero and romine also…good work..

RGK…yes Buck and another guy doing the game…Granderson needs a few steals here and he will have done something that no other player has done…ever!!!
40 hrs…over 100 runs and rbi’s and 30 steals…and he has 10 triples also..there shouldn’t even be a discussion about mvp….its over …he is the best in both leagues!!!…He has carried us all year, we would not be leading this division and i don’t know if we would be in the play-offs without him…it would be iffy?
Toronto announcers just said that Grandy is the only yankee other than mantle to have 40 hrs and 10 triples in a season….I love this guy as a player and what he does for kids and the community…great guy and a great player…what a season!!

Great comeback!! Grandy and AROD—-nice to see them swinging the bat. But I’m worried about the starting pitching. Very rarely in playoffs can a team count on the offense to bring them back in game. I hope we win, but recently, and this is hard to say—AJ Burnett has been one of the better starters—-and he hasn’t exactly been great.

Like

BUSTnett one of the better starters? Since when? He only had 1 good start, and that was against the M’s and their last place offense.

Good to see the Yankees going offensively for 1 game at least. Hard for a team to stay consistent when 1/3 of the offense aren’t good hitters.

let me see, the 2nd leading base stealer on first, hmmm…what should I do…let me swing at the first pitch so he can’t steal second…..just amazing….what leagues could you be playing in your whole life that would give you a thought process like that?….Do they teach that in the Yankees minor leagues?…wow…u have got to be kidding me…its a 1 run game?…These are the kind of mental mistakes that can lose ballgames…and keep in mind Gardner can steal second and then third…we just had a wild pitch to set the inning up!!!….Physical mistakes happen, not having your head in the game is no excuse!!! (Romine I’m talking about)
RGK…did you see that….even the toronto announcers said “rookie mistake”…bad
