Brackman among Yankees callups
Prior to tonight’s game, the Yankees made the following roster moves:
Recalled RHPs Andrew Brackman and Hector Noesi, and OF Greg Golson from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre; Signed RHP George Kontos to a Major League contract and added him to the active Major League roster; Returned from rehab and reinstated INF Ramiro Pena from the 15-day disabled list (appendectomy); to make room on the 40-man roster, RHP Lance Pendleton was designated for assignment.
In addition, RHP Ryan Pope, previously designated for assignment on 9/1, has been outrighted to the Scranton/WB roster.
