Would any manager pitch hit nunez for Chavez , who had 2 hits and drove in 2 of the 5 runs…You also lose Chavez at 3rd a past gold glove winner 6 times!!!…would you rather have chavez vs Morales, or nunez vs albers (who is better than Morales btw)…thought that was a bad move, even if nunez had gotten a fly to get the run in….hope posada’s poor ab’s or Girardi’s pitch hit move don’t hurt us the last 2 innings…I liked chavez vs morales for the Ynaks

What a moonshot from Cervelli last night, near cleared the monster out into the car park followed by a classless act from the Sox plunking him in the 7th, anyone who’s seen Cervelli knows he claps when he gets a hit, i’ve seen him being more amped about it too! But no, the Sox take exception & drill the kid for doing what he’s done all year playing with a bit of passion! Trust me to miss the fireworks though, not that us Scots enjoy a rammy but hey, when the benches clear i’m usually the one guy who loves it!
It was nice to see Joe get so fired up last night. He’s usually so cool calm and collected. Man, he looked more like Pinella last night. he was right though, the guy was swinging the bat when the ball hit him. Bad call by the umpire. Joe was right in his face. It was comical. Don’t like the match up tonight. Hughes isn’t really in the same league as Josh Beckett. And he’s been very inconsistent this year. He’ll have to be awfully good to stay with Beckett and the Yankees will need to give him some run support. No ARod I guess agin.

Don’t like the fact that Cervelli is back again even though he got a home run last night. He’s not defensively as good as Martin and Martin has had some consistent good numbers at the plate and hits with power. Why are they giving Martin another day off? Cervelli usually only catches when CC is pitching. I think Girardi is making a mistake unless Martin is injured and we haven’t heard anything about it. I think many fans are skeptical about Arod’s injury. Can he not play through a bit of pain. Does a bit of a sprained thumb keep players out of the lineup for this long? Personally I wonder if he really wants to play. He’s makin big bucks. He says he wants to play and misses it blah blah blah, but I wonder..
First thing I’m doing tonight, if I’m Phil Hughes, is the first time old FAT @SS Big Flabby steps into the batter’s box he gets nailed in his Big Fat Flabby @SS. Seriously, Hughes NEEDS to step up tonight. Because if A Jerk is pitching in the final game put it on the right column.
According to what I’ve read in reports, doctors have told arod after his injection, no gripping a bat for few days and Martin has a sprained thumb and will be good to go tomorrow for AJ’s wild pitches and balls in the dirt…Also, there must be an issue with Chavez and playing third, as I noted last night, the pinch hit by nunez seemed weird as Chavez would be the better defensive player and chavez not playing third tonight but dh’ing and nunez playing third…must be a physical issue there with Chavez…maybe his foot is still tender?…don’t know…
I apologize…I was looking at a twitter message of the line-up and didn’t check the line-up above…looks like Chavez is at third….hopefully Montero is the dh tomorrow with Martin back behind the dish..
