While we sit waiting out Hurricane Irene the Sox are playing and winning. They won today and go up 11/2 games on the Yankees. It doesn’t look too promising for the doubleheader tomorrow. Make up games are a pain down the stretch and work to the Yankees disadvantage. Hopefully sitting in a hotel in Baltimore the Yankees catch some of the hurricane in a bottle and use it to power them down the stretch and to the world series. They’re going to have to get their starting rotation sorted out. And please Girardi dn’t use Bustnett as a starter any more this year. It’s driving us all crazy and it usually means a sure loss. Cut your losses and put him in the pen for an few innings.

What? Another game in which that garbage BUSTnett blows up and kills the Yanks with his so-called pitching? Just too bad Irene did arrive sooner and spare everyone the pain of having to watch this mess. There simply is NO justification whatsoever to keep BUSTnett in the rotation whatsoever. With any luck, when this team goes to a 5 man rotation BUSTnett will be the odd man out. I wonder what Crashman has to say about his boy BUSTnett. It was an obvious mistake to sign him to a huge contract from the beginning.

Just gotta wonder though, which natural disaster will wind up doing more damage to New York Hurricane BUSTnett or Hurricane Irene.

Do us Yankee fans a favor A Jerk, take a *amn Southwest Airlines flight to Little Rock and don’t bother coming back.

If you are Ivan Nova, Bartolo Colon or Freddie Garcia on the bench you have got to be saying to yourself, “and they are paying how much for this guy to pitch this badly?” GET his @ss out of here.

robert G this game was OVER before it started. Why the *ell Girardi keeps throwing this Schmuck out there is beyond me. He’s DONE as a Yankee. Enough of his antics and his CRAP. He’s collected millions and done NOTHING. RELEASE HIM AND NEVER ALLOWED HIM TO GO TO THE MOUND AGAIN.

If we’re lucky the games will be cancelled this weekend and we won’t need to be humiliated by a team that has given up the most home runs, the most runs and the most hits. this is totally embarrassing!

Once a game gets this far out of hand no one cares. Cano normally would have had that ball and that would have been 3 outs. Instead everyone is safe and Vladi hits a home run. Man, could this fiasco get any worse? How bad can this get? I think pretty bad when it’s over. Now the Yankees will know how the A’s felt the last game. They’re getting their noses rubbed in it.

AJ the mop up man. That is the only role left for him on this team. He threw harder when he was with Jays (and Marlins)——consistent fastball at 95-97. With very suspect control, and a low 90’s fastball, they all have learned to stay off his curve. Unless he can learn control, which with bad mechanics is doubtful, he’ll never succeed again unless he can start throwing 95 and above again. However, that year with the Jays he was poison to the Yanks and everybody else. Bad move on the Yanks part because they had to know with age he’d lose his fastball.

Alan: I don’t think it’s saving the bull pen because with the prediction of this hurricane there probably won’t be any games tomorrow so the pen will have at least one day’s rest if not two. They really didn’t use that many in the pen last night.

I knew we’d hear from you soon Seek. I’m happier commenting here than watching this lousy ball game. I’ve given up. Obviously Girardi has.

Lousy pitching and no hitting means a loss usually. I was afraid after the Yankees scored 22 runs last night that their offense would dry up for a few games and sure enough it has.

I have had it with this BUM. This is the worse starter for the Yankees since Ed Whitson. He is a *HIT pitcher and human being. He has NO guts and NO talent. He conned the Yankees and Crashman into this contract and Crashman ought to be let go at the end of the year for this signing and Pavano. STUPID. End this CRAP Girardi NOW!!! Do not I repeat DO NOT put this BUM out there again. Send his @ss to the bullpen or better yet RELEASE HIM NOW. Bring up one of the youngsters instead. Can the Yankees do any worse??? He is a JOKE, go to *ELL back to Arkansas A Jerk you loser. And go fishing!!

Game was a bust after the second inning, why bother butchering the BP again when it had to haul it last night to cover Hughes, nothin to do with the unprofessional outburst the other day purely saving his pen.

Hunter has 62 pitches and AJ 119. What does that say? Could we do a straight trade? AJ for Tommy Hunter? Orioles wouldn’t take him I wouldn’t think. His salary is too high and he’s too lousy a pitcher after the way he’s pitched for the yankees no other team in the majors will ever pay again what the Yankees paid. He’ll be lucky to get a contract at all when he’s finished with the Yankees.

Bryan Hoch is on the money in his twitter. Either Girardi is leaving AJ in to save the bull pen or he doesn’t want to get yelled at. I’d guess the latter. Girardi is afraid of him. Why would they continue to trot him out there game after game and implode game after game?

Like

You might as well leave him in now to pitch 9 innings and lose 15-1. Get his pitch count up to 150 until he breaks his arm and then there will be reason to take him out of the rotation. Drastic results call for drastic measures.

Like

Stupid Girardi leaves this guy in until he reaches 110 pitches after the way he’s pitched tonight? Is this a throw away game? They’re not going to get very many games in this weekend because of the hurricane. They needed this one. The lowly O’s like the lowly A’s. You’ve got to be able to beat the weaker teams in the league if you expect to win the division or a world series.

If Damon and ARod pushed hard for Cashman to get AJ and Jeter lobbied Cashman for him earlier they were basing their judgment on one good year AJ had with the jAYS and he pitched well against the Yankees that year. But you don’t judge a career based on one season. And AJ had one of the best pitchers in the league ahead of him and he rode on his coat tails. Too bad AJ couldn’t ride on CC’s coat tails since he’s come here but it hasn’t happened. he really is washed up. He’s pitched alright since the 2nd. The defence has picked him up. But you can’t implode in one inning early in every game and then settle down and pitch well. You’ve dug too deep a hole for your team.

Like

No one is warming up because Bustnett made a fuss the last time he was pulled in the 2nd so Girardi doesn’t want to upset him again. This guy calls his own tune. Everyone is afraid of him. If it were anyone else they would have been in the pen or back in the minors or traded a long time ago. They wouldn’t have put up with it if it had been someone else in the rotation. Colon or Garcia or CC would have been out of there by now. The other one they seem to tolerate no matter how poorly he pitches is Hughes. He is younger and has more potential but he’s not really showing it. He’s a good pitcher to trade for someone else. I’ve given up on this game. They’re not coming back like they did against the A’s. And the stupid thing is Girardi leaves him in and now it’s 7-0. Girardi is as stupid as Bustnett is.

Like

How often do you ask a team to pick up the starter after he has stunk the joint out? Hughes did it in his last game. The Yankees roared back but they can’t do it game in and game out.

Like

Is anybody in management listening to the fans? They’ve got to see that AJ is a disaster as a starter and they keep hoping he’s going to come out and miraculously get his game together. How long do you wait? iT AIN’T GOIN TO HAPPEN! He’s done. Put him and the team and the fans out of their misery. It’s ridiculous we have to put up with this game in and game out.

I cannot watch this game. It has a feel about it already. 2 errors in the 1st inning. Seek, our guy Bustnett is doing it again. How many times do we have to see this before Girardi and Cashman do something. He is useless as a starter. He gets into a bit of trouble and everything unravels. He’s up in the zone. His fast ball has no movement and the O’s are all over it. I don’t know who the 5th starter should be but Bustnett should not be a starter. he’s got to go into the pen or back to the minors I don’t care what salary he’s making. We shouldn’t have to put up with this debacle game after game. He’s not got it anymore if he ever had it. He’s a head case and always has been. One good season and you shell out millions for him. A bad management decision and investment.
