Sucks to be a Yankee fan right now. Got to ask is Girardi has been taking STUPID pills as his managing has been pretty blah the past couple of weeks. Truly is bothersome that a guy who used to be a catcher handles his pitching staff this badly. Have to wonder if the guy is managing just to win the wild card.

Bring in a guy in the 10th who hasn’t pitched since I don’t know when and he blows the game. 2 homers in the game to Crisp who has only had 6 all year. Man, the Yankees can’t beat a team like the A’s in a series. They don’t deserve to be in 1st place.

the only pinch hitter we have off the bench with Jones runnng is Chavez and he really has been very inconsistent since coming off the DL. We are really short on the bench when we need someone to come in and get a hit.

Another lousy night for Jorge as DH. We really need to get someone in the lineup who can hit on a regular basis. either through trade or bring up someone from the minors.

Good at bat Tex. Both home runs tonight with noone on. Too bad. Need more runs if we’re going to pull this one out.

What a lousy series against the lowly A’s. We’re going to let them win the series? Come on. The Sox win their series against the first place Rangers and we lose the series to the A’s. Do that very often down the stretch and we’ll be lucky to get the wild card spot.

Bad managing Joe. Why leave CC in one more inning when he’s pitched almost 100 pitches, gave up a single that was sacrificed to second and we’re only 1 run ahead. Put Robertson in at the beginning of the 8th. That’s what he’s there for. CC pitched a good game but don’t push it. You pushed it and now the game is tied and we could end up losing it with the Sox obviously going to beat the Rangers. We’ll be one game behind again. A poor decision that backfired and it’s happened too often this year. Girardi has atendency to leave his starters in one hitter or one inning too long. Run support has been lousy tonight too. Hard to win when you only score 2 runs.

This is a real good ballgame…some outstanding plays in this game by both teams. Cano’s and Granderson relay throws to nip the speedy Weeks at third base was tremendous…It really helps your pitcher when you have a double, then a single, then the next batter swings at the first pitch and your pitcher is out of the inning, nice dp turn by Tex and Jeter…Some nice plays in this game….and the Swish a licious just went deep so we are up 2 to 1…

Are the Yankees playing the Sox? or Texas? This is just the Oakland A’s isn’t it? Can’t beat the weaker teams in the league?

We could use a Josh Willingham as DH with 22 homers and his RBI. That’s something we’ve been lacking all year with Posada’s age and declining offense and Chavez and Jones haven’t got it done either. It’s been DH by committee and hasn’t worked well.

I know Cervelli always matches up with CC but is that part of CC’s problem lately? Cervelli doesn’t have a lot of experience and really he doesnt do much at the plate pffensively. He strikes out a lot. I know Martin needs a break but wondering considering CC’s recent outings whether the catcher has anything to do with it.

guess what? Sox leading by 4-0 in the first inning. We could be sitting in 2nd after tonight if we don’t get our #sses in gear.

Get the big bats up and what do you get? Lined into a DP and kill the inning.

What’s with CC giving up so many homers in the past few games. Is he tired? Mechanics? Home run to Crisp who only has 6 all year? I hope this isn’t an indication of what is to come.

what do you think about Arod’s injured finger. Is it legit? He’s been away so long with surgery, he gets back and first game back he gets injured. He certainly isn’t doing anything at the plate since his return. And he’s supposed to see the MLB this week about this gambling thing. I wonder if we’ll ever see the ARod we’ve seen for the last 10 years again. What is he at 13 home runs and holding? Are we getting the whole story?

Bob..I think its a sprained thumb…maybe he is playing cards with the MLB folks on Friday…lol

With runners on base last night in the 9th and Jeter up and having gone 3 for 3 in the game why wouldn’t Girardi go withthe hot bat rather than have Jeter sacrifice? Unfortunately Swish just missed a grand slam but he didn’t and whether you lose by 6-1 or 6-5 you still lose. Hopefully CC can put in his dominant game tonight. he’s been much less than dominant his last couple of outings. And hopefully the Yankees can give him some run support. Last night it was too little too late. They couldn’t hit McCarthy at all.
