A-Rod’s X-rays negative; listed as day-to-day

This just announced by the Yankees’ media relations department:
X-rays taken on Alex Rodriguez at Yankee Stadium were negative. He has a sprained left thumb and is listed as day-to-day.
Rodriguez was seen on the bench with his left hand tightly wrapped in a bandage during tonight’s game. Regardless of what he said earlier, it looks unlikely that he’d be available to pinch-hit.
Now, the question is, could he be in the lineup tomorrow? That photo at right seems to suggest he won’t, but we’ll see what they have to say postgame.
