Nunez out of lineup with tight hamstring
Eduardo Nunez will be out of today’s lineup with a tight right hamstring, which he felt on his second double yesterday. Nunez said that he told Joe Girardi he felt good enough to play today, but no dice.
Meanwhile, right-hander Lance Pendleton has arrived at Citi Field, but no corresponding roster move has been announced yet.
Phil Hughes is packed for Cleveland, but doesn’t know if he’ll actually be going there. He still may pitch tomorrow at Scranton.
