Working out at the Stadium

That’s Dustin Moseley pitching to Ramiro Pena.

The Yankees are here at Yankee Stadium for a workout this afternoon, and with no other team in the building, it feels a lot like George M. Steinbrenner Field in February or March.

A few of the guys have just started stretching on the field, and at noon, there is a simulated game scheduled to begin. The game is set to feature Joba Chamberlain, Boone Logan, Sergio Mitre, Dustin Moseley, Dave Robertson and Kerry Wood against Francisco Cervelli, Greg Golson, Austin Kearns and Ramiro Pena.
“Unless your name was Kerry Wood, Mariano Rivera, David Robertson, Boone Logan and the three starters, no one else got in there [during the American League Division Series],” GM Brian Cashman said. “We’ve got to do some games to get some guys work.”

Texas has beaten the Rays…so it’s Yankees vs. the Rangers…the Yankee Pitchers will have to keep runners off the bases because they will steal…and Posada can’t throw out runners…i hope Burnett is not walk and hit batter happy in his start or it will be a long nite for the Yankees and a short one for Burnett…Yankees in 6 then on to the World Series…
