How many bad starts is AJ going to have before management realizes that he hasn’t got it and is a liability right now for the Yankees. Better to give one of the young guys a shot than keep going with this guy who they’re paying millions to. They need to stop worrying about hurting his feelings and eat his salary until they can trade him. I’m not sure they’d even want him in the bull pen the way he’s been pitching. This is just terrible. And with the way AJ is pitching and the way the Yankees are not hitting tonight it all adds up to a super loss. There will be no champagne for the yankees tonight. They barely squeaked out a win last night and were very lucky to win. They’re not really worthy of getting to the playoffs no matter how many wins they’ve had this year.

A total embarrassment for Yankee fans and I would think for the players and management. The record that AJ has had against the Jays this year why would they pitch him in this series? I think they’re really focused on the wild card and not winning the division. They’re scared of the Rangers.

The whole season counts as more than worthy.

Maybe Nova can replace AJ in the postseason. Otherwise we’ll have to win with three starters and a prayer. We match up better against the Twins! Scared is fiction!!!

Time for management to admit the fact that paying A Jerk Bustnett the salary they are paying him was a HUGE mistake. The guy had one good season and has been a HEAD case the past year plus. What excuse is it tonite A Jerk, Cervelli not call the right pitches or someone else punch you in both eyes? Trade his *ss to anyone that wants him in the offseason. He and Vasquez are BUMS. I’d put Nova on the postseason roster over either of those two clowns.

Robert. Here we go with your comments again. The Yankees have not played well against the Rangers. They match up better against the Twins and would rather face them starting the post season. But the way the Yankees have been playing over the past 2 weeks they won’t beat the Twins either with or without Morneau. who can the Yankees beat in any series right now. They didn’t beat the Rays. They didn’t beat the Red Sox banged up and all. They didn’t beat the Orioles.

Sorrry, but I’ve switched over the hockey game. I can’t watch any more of this debacle tonight.

The past few years the Yankees have not really had a good pitching staff with four solid starters. They have all been nite and day. What happened to their top notch bullpen? The Yankees have always figured no matter what slump the staff would get into the offense would bail them out. This year, especially the past few months has shown otherwise. Two 4 game losing streaks in September. Lose 4 then win one then lose 3 more then win one etc. Have the Yankees swept a series this year? They lost series’ to Baltimore, Toronto, Kansas City, Seattle…all AL power houses!

Glad I don’t have to see that garbage either oneof5. Thing is is anyone surprised at A Jerk tonite. The guy has not been right all year and most of it is between his ears. Still wonder who gave him the blackeye, maybe robertg????

Trouble posting! That was FACT. But I’ve seen worse.

Seek,
My arms are’nt that long LOL!!!

Seek,
The SOx feel the same about Lackey as we feel about Burnett. Same price for each!!!

O’s 1 Rays 0 Bottom 6.
Sux 3 Sox 0 Bottom 3.

Braves 0 Marlins 0 Top 3.

Well at least Lackey doesn’t blame everyone including his catcher for his inability to pitch this year. Does Pie Man have a winning record with the Yankees now? What a waste of $$$$$$.

I’d put Moseley on the post season roster over with A Jerk and Javy. At least this guy has given the Yankees good innings this year. You have to believe that Cashman is mad as *ell with the performances of both of these guys this year. It’s as if netiher one wants to pitch for this team.

Talking with a Jays fan who thinks he’s injured. I think he’s just stupid. He did OK last year with Molina chewing out his butt!

Moseley’s good as an emergency starter or long man. Nova has much better stuff but lacks experience. The last rookie I remember pitching for the Yanks was Jim Beattie in 1978(?)

O’s 4 Rays 0 Bottom 7.

Same score FINAL in Tampa Bay!

I’d still take Nova and Moseley on the postseason roster over A Jerk or Javy. BTW as P*SS Poor as Vasquez has pitched this year Boone Logan has been a welcomed addition as the throw in pitcher witht he Melky trade. Relief corp has done well tonite. Too Bad A Jerk left them in to HUGE of a hole to climb out of.

Sux 4 Sox 1 Bottom 6.

Seek,
Two Zs.

Looks like Vazquez needs lessons from Mussina on how to pitch when your stuff is gone!

Sux 5 Sox 1 Top 8.

Vasquez needs to go pitch for the Cubs robertg. They deserve each other.

Seek,
What do byou have against the Cubs?

Glad we missed Buchholz tonight. He should go again Saturday!

Braves 1 Marlins 1 going to extras.

Final in Chicago Sux 6 Sox 1. No celebrations tonight!!!

Mike Dunn is in the Atlanta game.

Final in Colorado Dodgers 3 Rockies 1. That should eliminate the Rockies.

Seek,
Sorry I didn’t see that ’til now. I heard their fans are great and they have a classic ballpark. Their name also rolls off of the tongue easily. Did they just change owners? I know they were up for sale and Mark Cuban’s name was mentioned.

Braves win in 11th. Now tied for WildCard lead in NL with Padres.

robertg, I pity the Cubs great fans. These people continue to support a badly run organization. The Cubs are where managers go to die in baseball terms. Rigglemann, Piniella & Baker to name a few. The Cubs always trade away good players for BUMS, which is why Vasquez & A Jerk deserve to go there. Maybe the Cubs would deal Zambrano for both of our clowns. Hold on NO MORE NL pitchers, please.

Final in San Diego Cubs 1 Padres 0. The Padres slide to 0.5 behind the Braves for the NL WildCard.

NEW THREAD

robertg they sold the club but not to Cuban. Doesn’t matter who owns them, manages them or plays for them the Cubs don’t win the big one. And Girardi wants to perhaps manage them? What brand of smokes is he using?

Seeknay. When did you post the last comment about Cuban and the Cubs? The post says sept 28, at 9:10 am. Today is Sept 28, and it’s only 8:30 am. Weird.

But, please don’t say or do anything that would inhibit Clueless Joe from moving on to the Cubs. It would be addition by subtraction. And right now, we could use some additions for this team.

Are we tagging on to September 27th blog tonight? Nothing for Sept. 28th? Not many hits tonight for either team or runs. CC is pitching a strong game, certainly not like his last outing. Yankees need to get more hits and a few more runs if they are going to guarantee a win tonight. The Jays are home run hitters and they can change a game’s momentum with one swing of the bat. Yankees need to get runners home that are in scoring position. Hitting into DPs isn’t going to do it nor strike outs. Yankees can’t allow Drabek to look like a Cy Young candidate. Yankees seem to be very weak against pitchers they haven’t seen and rookies. Hopefully they can figure Drabek out or when he comes out of the game they’ll be able to start hitting the bull pen unless this guy goes to the 8th and they bring in the closer.

Another friggin’ double play. Come on guys. They can’t get the key hits again when they need them to advance runners and bring them home. Too many lost opportunities at the plate.
