Not a big Cashman fan but give him credit the Kerry Wood pickup was an excellent move. Always thought Wood got shortchanged by the Cubs. But it’s the Cubs what do you expect?

Like this

True robertg but not watching it on YES. Wood made quick work of Overbay.

That’s why there is a K in Kerry!

Joe, please consider the Cubs job for next year. You’ll be able to micro manage a real pitcing staff, you’re true strength as a manager.

I didn’t agree yesterday when he pulled Nova with 2 outs in the 5th, and I didn’t agree with today’s hook. Yesterday it worked out, today not so much. But, the point is “Why in the hell does he insist on wearing out the pen when it is not necessary. What is about this guy that he just can’t stand certain starters going past 5 innings? Is this guy just some kind of puzzle freak that can’t stand it when there isn’t a real problem to be solved?

I’m sorry but, this is baloney! I’m not asking for stats to prevail, but this guy just doesn’t let anyone pitch past the 5th unless their name is CC or BJ. They have not deserved the trust, but in CC’s case he has looked good, but what about BJ? Why can’t he give the other guys the same length hook?

As soon as we have a day off, Joe will tax the bullpen for 4 innigs a day fo a couple of days until he has no one available for the 3rd or 4th game of a series. Then,he blames the starters for not going far enough.

The Yankees just can’t hold onto a lead here today. And to a hot hitter like Overbay today why are they giving him pitches to hit? He’s killing us in this game offensively. We don’t have a strong lineup today to put many runs on the board so pen has to keep the runs at 5 and the Yankees offence has to come up with a few more runs to be safe.

Like this

Javy could have done that!

Like this

Hopefully Girardi won’t try to keep Javy in too long. The bull pen has been doing well so should not be afraid to go to them.

Like this

Javy still sitting at 88-89 on the fast ball.

Bad things happening to the Jays today!

Javy’s still 2 mph slower on the fast ball.

Wonder after this season is over if Javy will get another contract with the Yankees? NOT going to happen. Once Andy returns put this guy in the bullpen and leave him there. He seems to be able to give Girardi 2-3 innings and then the arm goes FLAT. Use him in long relief and then DO NOT resign him.

REAL TIME POST OUT OF ORDER:
That’s more like it Javy!

LOoks like we have the Javy pre bull pen in the second inning. Giving up two home runs. Hope he can straighten himself out before we get into too deep of a hole to get out of. Not our A lineup today either. Just because Javy had a couple of good sessions out of the bull pen doesn’t mean now he can be a good starter. Should have stayed in the pen and kept Moseley in there. He is more reliable at this point than Javy.
