Either Javy in middle relief or back as a starter until Andy gets back in the lineup. Probably more reliable than Burnett right now the way he’s been pitching. Also Thames is knocking the cover off the ball over the past several games. Leave his hot bat in the lineup even if Berkman comes back. It’s going to take some time for Berkman to get a feel at the plate again. They can’t afford to pull Thames out of the batting lineup right now with the way he’s hitting. Some real power numbers. He can hit the ball hard and long.

Congrats to Vasquez, he pitched VERY well tonight and deserved the W.

Eiland & Girardi may have found a place for Javy on the pitching staff; middle relief.
