McAllister sent to Indians, completing Kearns trade

The Yankees sent right-hander Zach McAllister to the Indians on Friday as a player to be named later, completing a July 30 trade for outfielder Austin Kearns.
The 22-year-old McAllister was regarded as one of the Yankees’ top pitching prospects coming into this campaign, earning selection last season as the club’s Minor League Pitcher of the Year with Double-A Trenton and ranked as New York’s fifth-best prospect for 2010 by Baseball America.
McAllister had spent all of this year at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, going 8-10 with a 5.09 ERA in 24 starts, ranking 11th in the International League in innings pitched (132 2/’3). He was a third-round selection by the Yankees in the June 2006 First-Year Player Draft.
Kearns, 30, is batting .355 (11-for-31) with one homer and five RBIs in 11 games since joining New York.

6-0 Mariners, AJ not doing very well, but then if we can’t score we can’t fault only AJ. It’s a team effort……”GO YANKEES!”

Thanks Bob, Glad to see they didn’t get our best AAA pitcher..
Will the Yanks finally score 1st & 3rd 1 out …. Frankie up, he has been going down hill lately, Arod hurt again, hope not seriously. “GO YANKEES!”

The players may all stand behind Burnett publicly and he may be a team player. But it is time for Burnett to perform and the management find someone to replace him. He simply places the offense on defence before they have the bat in their hands. How could his teammates continue to have any confidence in him if he has no ability to perform on a consistent basis.
Time to deliver – or go back to Toronto. If he cannot stand the heat – go back to the snow.

As much as I liked Zach, his stock has fallen this year. Nova is number one at AAA and I think Phelps who is just up from AA has passed Zach too!

AJ again starts off on the wrong foot , I can’t figure him out, I always wonder which AJ will show up…. Well Jeter has done it again, another DP , I wonder what his problem is! could it be he’s got contract on his mind?? .. Good way not to start a game… “GO YANKEES!”
