I propsose offering Joba Chamberlain and 1-2 mid level prospects for Dan Haren. He can pitch and hit – solving both issues – he could be a great bat off the bench.

Living here in the Phoenix area (but transplanted Yankee fan from NY), it is apparent the DBacks are willing to trade Dan Haren. They are looking for major-league-ready pitching + prospects. Watching Haren this year I think the Yankees could solve two issues with one trade. I propose offering the DBacks Joba Chamberlain + 1-2 prospects (not top of the line like offered for Cliff Lee though) and in return the Yanks get Haren who could both pitch (don’t go by current numbers, the atmosphere and support he gets here stinks) and provide bench help – he is a heck of a hitter. Something to think about…

For God’s sake Joe Girardi GET SOMEONE ELSE TO BE THE 8TH INNING GUY. Chamberlain is a complete disaster. Mgmt CANNOT be satisfied with him. It’s not one BAD outing, every outing is a BAD outing.

Posada almost threw another one away. Good job Tex is such a good first baseman and has the height and reach that he is. Posada is almost playing like a rookie catcher instead of a veteran. A lot of nerves. Robertson did a great job bailing CC out.

Like

What was Jorge thinking making that wild throw to 3rd when he had a sure out at first allowing a run to score and the guy who struck out advances to second. A real brain cramp.

Like

Man, the Yankee hitters were swinging wildly in that last inning. Awful at bats by Jeter and Swisher. Making Chen look good.

Like

Yankees really need a solid consistent DH. The rotation idea doesn’t really work very well and aside from Thames they really don’t have anyone on the bench. Curtis came in and hit a home run but that’s unusual. They need to trade for a strong bat on the bench who can pitch hit and back up. Little weak in the outfield defensively tonight with Swisher missing one he should have had and Granderson.

Like

Way to go Jorge! He’s really producing again offensively lately. When the big guys like Tex and ARod don’t show up in the lineup then other guys produce. It’s been a pattern for the Yankees all year. CC was shaky in the early innings but seems to be settling down in the middle innings. Interesting to see how long he can go before he passes over to the pen and who in the pen he passes over to.

Like

CC is not looking sharp in the early innings. Too many runs and too many hits and too many pitches. Not his sharpest performance to date. Hopefully he can stop the bleeding here and the Yankees can get their offence going.

Like

I can’t believe CC is our #1 He’s pitching more like a #5…He’s already thrown 46 pitches (2 innings), Yesterday Javy got tired after a 4 inning total of 41 pitches and blew up. What in He** is happening with our starters? they all stink… Where is the pitching coach, he’s been no help. We haven’t had a decent start for a while, What will it take to light their fire? It’s hard to believe we’re still the best team in baseball! We need to get some runs or it will be a long night. CC has to settle down…
“GO YANKEES!)
