7/18 – Rays at Yankees
After an emotional two days, the Yankees get a taste of normality today in the rubber game against the Rays. Sunday is all about the left-handers on the mound, with All-Star starter David Price facing the first man to relieve him in the Midsummer Classic in Andy Pettitte. Sit back, relax, and enjoy one of the finest pitching matchups of the season.
RAYS (55-35)
YANKEES (56-33)

Let’s go Boys…let’s support Andy and his efforts…quit the negitive thoughts …we GOT this guys… work hard..You can do it..
More importantly oneof5 it is now Andy’s health. That looked like a groin pull. It is soooooo hot at the stadium today I hope it is not major. As for Granderson, why didn’t the manager have him bunt in that situation? The guy CANNOT hit lefties. More and more it is becoming apparently that the Granderson for Damon or Jackson move was a BAD decision by Cashman.
Let’s go YANKEES!
Foo!
We got a game!!!
Sorry, I don’t like Granderson at the plate. He stikes out way too often. Unfortunately Andy gives up a 3 run home run in the first and then the team has to climb out of the hole. Yankees have to win this to stay 2 ahead of the Rays. And the Sox are creeping up again as well.
Way too many pitches for Andy. He won’t last 5 innings at this rate and he’s putting men on base. It’s going to bite him in the #ss. It already has. The all star break I don’t think helped the Yankees much. They seem to have lost some of their momentum and confidence.
Nice recovery!

Let’s go Chan-Ho!
Chan-Ho Park makes me more nervous than Robertson but I guess we got what we’ve got until we can trade for something better.
A-Rod’s answer!
Any news on Andy since he came out?
Espn is reporting it is a Groin Strain. let’s hope he is not out long. Marte is on 15 DL and now Andy. Trading for pitching is definitely looming for this team.
Get Gardy home!!!
Michael Kay says “mild” groin strain.
Get Jete home!

With Lester behind in Boston, today is not a good day for AL All-Star lefties!
Do the Job..a!
Final in Boston: Rangers 4 Red Sox 2.
Joba doesn’t get the job done again. Man, he has been woeful as the set up man this year. How long does Girardi wait for him to get his act together before he goes to the minors to correct his mechanics or his mind whichever.
Except for the injury to Andy, I wanna see a repeat of this in late October!!!
Way to rain on the parade Bob!
What was AJ thinking when he slammed his hands and injured himself? What a baby!!!

Pettite is heading to the DL, and with Aceves still there maybe Cashman will look to acquire some pitching now. Hopefully there is no need to trade Montero, really the only blue-chip prospect the Yankees have.
