5/26 – Yankees at Twins

Let’s play 1 1/2! After Derek Jeter got it done with his bat and the glove in the sixth inning of last night’s resumed game, helping A.J. Burnett to a 1-0 win, the Yankees and Twins are back at it here at Target Field.
Right-hander Chad Gaudin is in uniform, wearing No. 41, and available to pitch tonight. The Yankees optioned left-hander Boone Logan to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre between games. To create room on New York’s 40-man roster, right-hander Shane Lindsey was designated for assignment.

OK. Starting Game 2 @ 9:42

Nice t see Swish in the 2 hole.

A hit for Tex!!!

And Boston completes a three game sweep of the Rays in Tampa Bay.

And the rookie connection scores!

I like this Russo kid. He plays a sound game and is mentality tough. Big hit tonite. Keep this kid upstairs.

Andy Pettitte is amazing. Cooperstown needs to make room for him after he retires.

And Mo closes both!

Triples are exciting!

Andy Pettitte record of 197 wins along with his outstanding post season especially in 2009 just emphasises that he is well deserving of HOF sooner rather than later. Throw in his 100 pick offs at first and his ability to field his position ( see yesterdays game ) This guy along with Mo Jeter and Posad just bleed Yankee blood.
As Robert is aware he was one of the main reasons for me travelling from Melbourne Australia to NYC in 2008 just to sit behind home plate and marvel at his ability. What was his record yesterday 90 odd pitches and 65-70 for strikes, outstanding yesterday.

Aussie Bryan

To me it wouldn’t be unthinkable for Andy to get in. Even if he quit now, his is the greatest pick-off move when records have been kept. Something unique enough for a nod! And if he keeps climbing the bump???
