Yankees and Tigers rained out

Rainout No. 3 this spring for the Yankees, and it’s made an absolute mess of the pitching plans. Dave Eiland told A.J. Burnett and Andy Pettitte to hit the road, promising to call them when they knew what the deal would be. Phil Hughes decided to hang tight and watch some college hoops in the clubhouse. While Joe Girardi tries to figure things out so everyone can face live hitting, here’s some official word from the team:

Today’s game between the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers at George M. Steinbrenner Field has been canceled due to rain.  The game will not be rescheduled, but tickets can be refunded.

Please note that: Refunds will be issued in the same method of payment used at the time of purchase, and refunds will not be accepted after 12/31/10.

All refund information is available at www.steinbrennerfield.com.
