  • Notes from the clubhouse: LHP Damaso Marte looked better than expected, said he is “OK” and is slated to pitch Friday … RHP Mariano Rivera will also pitch Friday vs. the Astros … Joe Girardi said that it is “conceivable” that he could start eliminating contenders for the No. 5 rotation spot as soon as Friday, when Sergio Mitre, Chad Gaudin and Alfredo Aceves are all scheduled to pitch, but not necessary …

Wheres John Rodriguez?

Can anyone , maybe Bryan dig through some stats on baby faced Robertson ( i say this because when he broke into the Majors he looked all of 17/18 ) has anyone got a better strike out perinnings qacross the board, starters and relievers. he has notched up another two so far and I think 4 in his last start.

I never said this. Someone trying to impersonate me again.

Carlos Pena just punished Javier Vazquez toward Dale Mabry. That was pretty impressive for a Grapefruit League homer.

Javier Vazquez goes 1-2-3 in the first. With two out in the home half, Robinson Cano K’s to leave two aboard.
