Yankees hold 16th annual Food Drive
The Yankees held their 16th annual Food Drive at Yankee Stadium on Thursday. Yankees Manager Joe Girardi, third baseman Alex Rodriguez, pitcher CC Sabathia and newly-acquired outfielder Curtis Granderson all participated, greeting those who donated.
In total, a record-breaking 71,233 lbs. of food and $2,307 were collected. The Yankees will reinvest the money to purchase additional canned goods from ACE ENDICO in Brewster, N.Y., with the company making an added food contribution. All donations will be distributed throughout the Bronx to those in need.
