Maybe a lot like last night
It’s cold and breezy at Yankee Stadium, but it’s dry. That’s increasing optimism that all the ugly forecasts could have been wrong and we might be looking at another night like Friday’s Game 1.
“When I looked this morning, it looked grim,” Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. “Now I look at it and I think we’ve got a pretty decent shot of playing. I know the percentages went down. It seems like it might be like it was yesterday.”
Girardi said that he is expecting to meet at 7 p.m. in the umpires room with Angels manager Mike Scioscia, where representatives from Major League Baseball will discuss the forecast. But for now, the Yankees are on the field in their sweatshirts and hoodies taking BP, Metallica is on the sound system and the gates are open. Looks like all systems go for baseball in the Bronx.
