Raining in the Bronx

yankee umbrella.jpgIt’s not exactly ideal baseball weather, as the tarp is on the field at Yankee Stadium and rain is sprinkling down, but the gates are open and fans are checking out Monument Park. There will be no batting practice today, but the Yankees and Red Sox are going to make every effort to ensure there will be baseball here today.

The Champagne is on ice in the basement here, as New York’s magic number for clinching the American League East is one game. This windbreaker could come in handy for more than rain if the Yankees win behind Andy Pettitte. So if you’re headed out here, bring an umbrella and some patience, but expect to see nine innings at some point.

With all due respects to Molina, why diesn’t Girardi catch Cervelli when he’s resting Jorge? We’ve heard over and over agin about the money, but winning should be what counts.
