The starting pitching wins the pennant ( with a good defense) and it loses the pennant. It all starts with starting pitching. A.J. gets toasted and cries about Posada, he’s whinner. Can’t trust him when things get tough and things will get tough. I never thought Posada was a great catcher and he looks to the dugout before he signals a pitch, I am not losing it check it out. The Yanks will have tp play a lot better ball in the play-off then regular season. So A.J. get ready.

We def have to pin this loss on Joe and Joba! For starters, Joba the Alcoholic has been absolutely horrible! This guy has amazing stuff but does not have the balls to challenge hitters – I just don’t get how you have a 95+ fastball and only throw half the time, hasn’t he learned that the fastball sets the table for his 2nd/3rd pitch? I mean I just don’t get this kid. Does he have to back to Nebraska to clear this head? I mean it’s ridiculous how a team gives you a 4 run lead and you blow it in an inning and 2/3.

Joe on the other just kills me with some of his decisions! You’ve got Joba getting clobbered w/bs hits – pull the guy! I don’t care that you want him to finish the inning, stop the bleading while you can – that’s the name of the game. The other thing that burns me the *** up is he bunts when there is no necessity and he doesn’t bunt when there’s a necessity – why is Swish bunting with no outs? It make no sense, the guy is batting well the past few weeks – let him swing! The other thing is, why would you put Swish to bunt in the 1st place, he is not a bunter! That’s for guys like Melky, Jeter, Damon – not 3-7 batters, that’s not their responsibility!

So what happens when you got a guy that is NOT a bunter and he attempts to bunt, wanna guess? a pop out! Great call Joe! I like u as a mgr but you really gave one away last night!

What I want to know is what happened to Bryan’s blog?? Where are all the complainers, whiners, kvetchers, slackers, and such that were all over this place over the last couple seasons when we stunk?? We’re still 6 games up. Letting Joba rest was a mistake. Let’s hope that Joe and Dave have learned a lesson and put him in there and let him pitch.

What happened to the Joba that came out of the gates from the All-Star weekend firing on all cylinders? Granted it’s ludicrous to think he would be that totally dominant for the rest of the season, but why is he totally awful now? He’s not being aggressive, he’s not challenging hitters, he’s trying to nibble so much now. No offense, but Joba isn’t Andy Pettitte, and he doesn’t HAVE to be. He has a power arm with power stuff, he shouldn’t be trying to nibble everything. When he’s aggressive, he is a totally different pitcher than what he’s shown the last 3-4 starts, being so timid and not just straight bully attacking hitters. Maybe he needs to go back to Nebraska between all of his starts…
