Oh yes! Tonight’s the night, the ultimate test. I think it’s now time for Yanks to show Sox who runs it. If they win tonight, it’s going to be like if the Yanks would be reaching another level of the season. Go Bombers!

I think the Yankees must win this big series with the Red Sox. At worst a split. But if the Red Sox win , I don’t think the Yankees will win the divison. We need the intensity of the Yankee teams from the 1970s. That’s when the rivarly was the most intense. Both teams really hated one another. The Yankees used to always win these big series. Let’s go Yankees!

Those Yankee teams were fueled by the passion of sell-out crowds, something we are lacking this year! I mean actually having fannies in the seats, not just sold tickets!!! Maybe it will be different this time.

Hey, it looks like the Yankees have done a little remodeling. Monument Park, now improved and net-free!

The crowds at the ball park this year are SO quiet compared to years past….even for the past few years at the old stadium, it was so much different then the late 90′s….

Okay, the big four-game weekend series between the Yankees and Red Sox is finally here !!! … So far, a lot of action, and a big home run by Johnny Damon to tie the score 1-1 … In my view, this first game is a “must-win” game for the Yankees — to set the tone for the weekend by finally getting their first win of the year over the Red Sox !!! … Oh, no, a two-run homer by Casey Kotchman … Red Sox take the lead again, 3-1 …. We need Joba to toss scoreless innings over the next three innings !!!
.
Go Yankees !!!

Yes !!! … The Melk-man delivers !!!
.
Another clutch hit by Melky … A huge three-run homer !!!
.
Yankees 5, Red Sox 3

Smoltz should be a middle man for the Sox, he always has a good few innings. plus he has experience in the bullpen.

Posada Bomb!!! Crowd is loud tonight! Go Yankees! Yankees came to play tonight!

Joba just needs to throw fastball strikes with a big lead. Why walk people with a six run lead?

Now baseloaded Red Sox will tee off! No defense for walks!

Joba worked out of the jam! He does have guts!

I was quite dissapointed Big Papi didnt get rained down w/ Boo’s and Roids chants…..

samsungrob,
Just shows you how much more classy Yankee fans are. There was some booing, but nothing compared to what Yankees got at Fenway.

Intresting deal getting Gaudin. Not a Cy Young pitcher but should be an improvement in the 5 spot. All he needs to do is keep the Yankees in games and let the offense try to win.

The Bombers sure showed up tonight! 1 down 3 to go…
