FROM THE CLUBHOUSE
The Yankees had to hold their breath and hope the phone didn’t ring during CC Sabathia’s bullpen session, but all appears to have gone well as he is on the mound for the bottom of the first inning at Citi Field … Robinson Cano’s sore left wrist is better and he is back in the lineup … Melky Cabrera and Hideki Matsui (flu) are improving, but Derek Jeter was scratched with what Girardi called a “substantial cough” … Jeter turns 35 today and had a birthday cake waiting at his locker. … Jorge Posada gets the night off after catching a long nine-inning game in 90 degree Atlanta heat last night.

RobertGKramer,
Yes I feel Just as safe at either ballpark, And I like Yankee stadium alot better, more like a OLD TIME PARK almost the same as the old stadium, Citi is nice but very modern, but nice, way too big, Bigger then Yankee stadium.
I have been in the Bronx at 3:00AM and felt safe BUT don’t ride the subway at that time, even when I lived in Manhatten I would take a cab downtown late at night..
I have been at Citi the past 2 weekends and left at different times and felt very safe…

Robert,
I Like Yankee stadium BETTER, I am after all a Yankee Fan But feel safe at BOTH stadiums, even in the Bronx after 3:00AM…….
But just stay off the Subway at that time..
I just happen to go to CitiField for the past 2 weeks last week to see Tampa won tickest through FOX News Channel with Greta and Fox Morning Crew-GREAT TIME AND FUN free food, wine beer, ect even tickets to game… Last night I had tickest given to me last minute, I NEVER REFUSE!!!!
I prefer Yankee stadium to me it is MORE like an older BALLPARK type feel!!!!

Yeah, SeanS, that’s something to look forward to. I’ll take it whenever and wherever he gets it, but it would be really cool if Mo could get #500 in The Bronx.

C’mon guys, let’s not make it personal. Living in a basement? Please. Not. Even. Close. We know nothing about each other except whatever comments we choose to post here. So, let’s at least try to keep it rational and adult-like, OK? I’m not trying to censor anybody, on the contrary, speak up when your team wins, not just when they lose. I’m just saying “how ’bout some balance?” That’s all.
With a $200M payroll, this is a team that should not be coddled one bit. Mistakes should be pointed out. And everyone that feels like venting should go for it and knock themselves out. Absolutely. BUT does NO ONE ELSE find it to be even slightly off-kilter that when the Yankees win a great game like Friday night the comments section is barren, only to be practically overloaded when they lose and/or screw up? Once again, “how ’bout some balance?” But worry not, I’m not going to bring it up again.

I can’t wait until Mo gets his 500th save. It will be cool.

The optimists whine and cry, the pessimists bitch and moan. Is there really any difference?

Todd,
Do you feel safer going to a night game at Citi Field than Yankee Stadium? Which park do you prefer?

Wait a minute–the Yankees beat the Mets 9-1 and there’s NOT ONE COMMENT on here?! What if they’d lost 9-1 to the guys from Queens? Oh, there’d probably 125 posts on “Girardi the mental midget”, “A-fraud”, how Tomko should be released, etc etc etc. But since the Yankees won, there’s nothing to bitch about and the whole purpose of these posts is to bitch, right? Soooo lame…
