‘Final Season’ book signing on Saturday

In case you’ve got a free Saturday and a Father’s Day gift to pick up:

New York Times bestselling author Alfred Santasiere III will be on hand to discuss and sign copies of his newly released book The Final Season: The Official Retrospective on Saturday, June 20th at 10:30am at the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center, on the campus of Montclair State University, 8 Quarry Road, Little Falls, NJ.

The Final Season: The Official Retrospective is the only book published about the final season of Yankee Stadium that is licensed by, and was created in partnership with, the New York Yankees.

Authored by Santasiere and Mark Vancil, it provides the last look at the Stadium from the inside out with more than 150 never-before-published photographs and a moving introduction by Yankees legend Yogi Berra. This keepsake also features first-person accounts from Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Jimmy Carter, along with Yankees greats from every generation.

The Final Season: The Official Retrospective retails for $35 and is available online at www.yankees.com/publications or by calling (800) GO-YANKS.  Books will also be available for purchase at the museum. For more information, call the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center at (973) 655-2378.

mattys,
The ONLY reason that Joba has a SOMEWHAT good record is because the YANKEES PULL HIS *SS when he starts to get INTO TROUBLE, if they gave this SPECIAL BABY the same treatment as the other starters HE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN BEAT UP BADLY on at least 4 STARTS,, SO its NOT Joba Pitching GOOD he is pitching OK and it is this Friggin team BABYING HIM,,,,,,,
Robert is right is Velocity is down and I here the team is scratching their heads,,
According to CRASHMAN if we put him back into the pen he won’t throw as hard as he did before,,,
WELL DUH YOU FRACKEN RUINED HIM JERK-OFF!!!!

Well I see that ARod has the next 2 nights off. Fatigued according to Girardi. Guess that means Pena or Berroa go into the starting lineup. This folks is one of the liabilities with this club, ZERO BENCH. At times you can’t rest a starter. Why? Because this POOR excuse that the Yankees call a GM can’t figure out the need for a STRONG BENCH! I know I beat this drum over and over again, this team will NOT win crap until management gets rid of Crashman.

Chamberlain will not be the starter we all expect until he reacquires that upper 90s fast ball. Until then he has to be counted amongst the strugglers.

Just read Madden’s account in the NY Daily News on how the Yankees repeatedly have trouble with pitchers they have never seen. Excuse me for asking but isn’t this what your advance scouts jobs are suppose to be? Do the Yankees have access to film technology so they can view what the opposing pitchers tentacies are via tape?

Must have been a miserable flight to Miami. Maybe playing in a pitcher’s park can turn things around! The staff won’t have to worry about fly balls carrying over the fences. Getting Jeter back will help too!
