Giese claimed by A’s
All-around good guy Dan Giese – who said this spring he had nothing to lose since his dream growing up throwing tennis balls against a wall was to face one big league hitter – has been claimed by the Oakland A’s on waivers. Giese had a rough spring but told the Yankees he needed more time to work out the kinks. He’ll be getting his feel at Triple-A Sacramento.
