Minor League updates from Tampa
These notes from the Yankees’ Minor League complex:
Brian Bruney pitched in a Double-A game vs. Pirates Minor Leaguers, throwing two innings and striking out four. In that same game, Hideki Matsui went 2-for-3 with a double, home run and walk.
Nick Swisher was 1-for-5 with a home run in a Triple-A game, and Jorge Posada was 1-for-1 in throwing out runners. At the plate, Posada was 1-for-4 with a double.
Chien-Ming Wang allowed five runs on nine hits in the Triple-A game, issuing one walk while striking out three. There were two homers.
