Cardinals asked about Cano

Lifted from the Hot Stove blog:

The St. Louis Cardinals called the New York Yankees to inquire about
the asking price for second baseman Robinson Cano, according to a
report published Sunday in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The Yankees’
response: Adam Wainwright.

The conversation did not last long, the report noted. The Yankees have expressed a reluctance to
trade Cano despite his disappointing 2008 season, when he hit .271 with
14 home runs and 72 RBIs in the first year of a four-year, $30 million

General manager Brian Cashman is among Cano’s most
public supporters, as the organization believes he will bounce back and
return to being the above-average offensive player that prompted the
Yankees to bypass Cano’s arbitration years and offer him a bigger
contract early.

That’s funny.

Adam Wainright….Carlos Beltran is STILL having nightmares about that curveball.

“Wha? Wha happen? I no see no curveball!” God….that was so pathetic.

To all Yankee fans who HATE A-Rod: We COULDA had this chump. You think Alex is bad in the clutch? Beltran doesn’ even show UP for the clutch. He is so bad in the Clutch that he has to drive an automatic-He’s THAT bad.

So, yeah, I’d love to see AW in pinstripes, just to see Carlos crwal back into his turtle shell when ever they play each other in the Sunway series.

Beltran sucks.

Oh! I almost forgot:

The RED SOX SUCK. Ahhhh….yes. It’s January, and I hadn’t said that on this blog all month. Where are my manners? I must acknowledge this fact of sucking at least once per month here. Just to remind everyone out there that as a Yankee fan, born and raised, it is my birthright to say so.

Talk about a team who should NEVER say the Yankees “buy” championships…$50mm+ posting fee for Daisuke “walk this way” Matsuskakalalala”?

Someone the Yankees want to keep!
