Wade Boggs to sign copies of Yankee Stadium retrospective

horse.jpgHey fans — if you ever wanted to ask Wade Boggs about that ride on a NYPD horse around the field at Yankee Stadium, or anything else, this will be your chance:

New York Yankees legend Wade Boggs will be on hand on Tuesday, September 23 from 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM at Mickey Mantle’s Restaurant, 42 Central Park South, Manhattan, and on Tuesday, September 23 from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Book Revue, 313 New York Avenue, Huntington, N.Y. to sign copies of the best-selling book, YANKEE STADIUM: The Official Retrospective by Mark Vancil and Alfred Santasiere III.

Yankee Stadium: The Official Retrospective is the only book published about Yankee Stadium that is licensed by the New York Yankees. It features an introduction by George M. Steinbrenner III, a foreword by Rudy Giuliani, and more than 150 photographs, many never before published. The keepsake also features more than 80 first-person accounts including those by former Presidents Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush, as well as Paul McCartney, Muhammad Ali, Jim Brown, Mario Cuomo, Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, Mariano Rivera and Yogi Berra. It has also appeared on the New York Times Bestseller list.

Hope is itself a species of happiness, and, perhaps, the chief happiness which this world affords: but, like all other pleasures immoderately enjoyed, the excesses of hope must be expiated by pain; and expectations improperly indulged must end in disappointment.

I don’t have the ability to put a poll on here (it’s not in the software) but otherwise I’d love to see the outcome. My sense is that the most vocal people in any situation are usually the ones who are against something.

So the count on this thread is two for Cashman and two against. Bryan, would a poll be possible?

The know-nothing pretender remy is back spewing his garbage!!!

I guess Brian Cashman has a crystal ball? He knew Pavano was going to get a bruised butt muscle? He knew Melky, Hughes, and Kennedy were going to be terrible this year? He puts in more time an effort into putting a winning team on the field every year, and thats all he does. He only pulled off a trade for the greatest regular season player ever(Arod). He must be doing something right, lay off Cashman. Who else can deal with the the ego maniac Hank Steinbrenner?

I didn’t know you could bring the heaters? Did you play college ball? I was told there will be a official-unofficial closing of the stadium in November if so will it be open to the public?

He knows that we’re with him, that we want him back,” Yankees co-chairman Hal Steinbrenner. I”m glad Brian Cashman will be back with the organazation. Just don’t mention Kei Igawa. I say Carl “unmentionable” Pavano might just get another shot, seriously. I feel Brian is the only man for the job this off season.

I am “Done”, as a Yankee fan. I have been a Yankee fans since my Grandmother loved Yogi Berra, I was a tot. But when I read that the Yankees were hiring Brian Cashman back as G. M. I can’t take anymore. This will be one of the hardest decision I have made in my life time, but have too cut them loose. No doubt in my mind management only care about the “GATE”, fill that stadiumn. If we win hoo-ray, if we fill the stands, “GREAT”. The King is dead (Geogre S.) lil greedy boys are in charge. Anyone with common sense knows, you don’t keep hiring someone who has constantly showed bad judgement, Brian Cashman. I will not blog anymore (no cares about that!LOL), nor wear Yankee apparel (wearing since I was a tot.) I am done.
