I’m lookin’ forward to Phil’s start tonight. He did good in the minors, and maybe his early season struggles were due to him tyring to tough it out on the mound with a hidden injury. What I want to see is that new cutter of his, and how he locates. If he throws strikes– like he did last year, he will be in good shape. I don’t expect NEARLY as much Ks as we saw him throw in the minors. Hitters in this league are alot more selective… even the guys that aren’t that selective.
BK,
The Durham gun maxed at 91mph. I’ll bet the Stadium gun tops that tonight!
Robert,
have you heard what his fastball was during his rehab. Also look on old thread I answered you there I do not want to rewrite it again.
Todd,
I believe I heard 92 in his rehab. I don’t remember you posting before August, unless you used another name! Anyhow, intelligence is such a tough thing to judge from a fan’s perspective. You have a better shot proving I’m a mental midget. And if I wanted I could easily find a third “right move,” but that whole argument is insignificant, so why bother? I was happy when Girardi was hired! After this disappointing season, he’ll need to show more early next year to earn my support!!!
Hello, Bryan
I hope everything is going well. I can see you have had a busy week. I was curious to know if Yankee stadium have/has a chapel? If so will the new one have on as well?
Interesting question. On Sundays there is Mass held in the auxiliary clubhouse – the same room you see those pregame Joe Girardi interviews taped in. I don’t know if the new Stadium will have a dedicated chapel, but I’m sure they will have a much nicer facility to hold Mass in even if it’s not strictly only for religious use.
We’ll Jeter’s all time hit record acomplishment over Lou’s at Yankee stadium reminded me of Gehrig’s famous speech. “I want to thank the Lord for making me a Yankee” I also know there is a couple of Yankees devoted to there religon. I know Mariano is Christian and Veras sometimes plays with a rosemary necklace. So that’s where the basis of my curiosity. I also plan to propose to my future wife at Yankee stadium .
